Quay, Sydney

Hi ladies! A little bit of food porn for you today =) One of my foodie friends and I went to Quay last weekend for a long awaited dinner! I have wanted to try it out for SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO long and finally made it there! You may know Quay because of the famous "snow egg" created by executive chef Peter Gilmore which was featured on Masterchef Australia season 2. We went for the 4 course dinner menu ($165) and oh it was just fabulous. My pictures are instagram pics so they aren't the best but you get the gist I'm sure ;)

Gorgeous view!

Appetiser - I can't remember what it is sorry!

Congee of Northern Australian mudcrab, fresh palm heart, egg yolk emulsion:

Gently poached southern rock lobster, hand caught Tasmanian squid, golden tapioca, lobster velvet:

Berkshire pig jowl, maltose crackling, prunes, cauliflower cream, perfumed with prune kernel oil:

Guava snow egg:

INNARDS:

My friend's Eight texture chocolate cake:

All in all it was an amazing meal with a view to die for. I couldn't ask for much more! There was a wedding reception on upstairs the night we went and OMG I have such wedding envy lol. Can you imagine how amazing it would be to have a reception at Quay?!! A girl can always dream..

Thanks for looking as always!
